SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant is trained to provide care in the clinic setting to patients under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.

• Assists in the collection of assessment data, such as vital signs and intake/output.
• Subjective and objective data are reported to Clinic Nurse in Charge.
• Provides care that meets the patient's needs such as repositioning, dressing and ambulating, for patients of all ages.
• Collects laboratory specimens.
• Creates and maintains a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors.

Reports directly to the Director of Phelps Medical Group.
