The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering individualized nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care, ensuring it meets age-specific standards. The RN manages resident assessments, education, and various nursing interventions, and may serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff while ensuring safe and effective care.

Graduation from a recognized nursing program, with a preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Must hold an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure if applicable. Ongoing certification and competency maintenance are required.

Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice, adhering to standards and ethical guidelines. Provides care across all phases of health maintenance and treatment, working within the scope of practice outlined in state regulations.
