Overview
The work we do matters. This position focuses on arranging, conducting, and maintaining documentation for drug screenings within the Judicial Branch.
Responsibilities- Arrange, conduct, and maintain documentation for drug screenings.
- Collect, dispose of, and maintain records of urine specimens; conduct drug screenings; testify in court; report and document testing results.
- Ensure documentation procedures are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Provide training on testing result documentation.
- Greets clients, collects testing forms, and accompanies them to the drug testing area.
- Store testing samples in a secure location and ensure chain of custody procedures are observed at all times.
- Maintain drug testing supplies and equipment inventory.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as required by the department.
Location:
1700 Stone St Ste 206, Falls City, NE 68355. Travel: primarily Falls City and Pawnee City; may be asked to travel to other district locations.
Work Schedule:
Early Morning; candidates must be in the testing location and ready to begin testing by 5:00 am. Non-traditional hours may be required.
Starting Salary: $31,985.62 annually. Immediate growth: 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing probation (if starting at the Hiring Rate). Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval. Annual cost-of-living adjustments are subject to State Legislature approval.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior substance abuse or chemical testing training and experience working with the offender population. Knowledge of drug screening and chemical testing methodology; safe work methods; applicable testing equipment; recordkeeping principles; basic inventory management; computers and related software applications.
Skills:
Performing drug screening; collecting applicable samples; maintaining specimen records; monitoring inventory and supply levels; operating computers and related software; communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisors, the public, and others.
Light work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. May involve fumes, odors, hazardous materials, and challenging environmental conditions.
