Job Summary
Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
- Document and calculate inspection results accurately.
- Takes corrective action when necessary, including alerting personnel, adjusting processes, segregating, isolating non‑conforming products, and reporting results to management.
- Handle additional assignments as requested.
- Lift materials and products up to 75 pounds.
- Stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
- Work in temperature ranges of 30–90°F.
- Operate in wet environments and perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling.
- Reach high and low levels frequently; climb step ladders and stairs as required.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Hold Lock Out Tag Out certification.
1st shift. $27.40 per hour, paid weekly.
Education & Experience- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in food manufacturing or related quality assurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to complete Tyson paperwork.
- Leadership and motivation of hourly workforce.
- Strong problem identification, problem‑solving, math, and organizational skills.
- Read and interpret product specifications.
- Ability to work well under stress and adapt to changing demands.
- Flexibility to work where and when needed.
Normal food manufacturing setting. Must wear steel‑toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets or beard nets (if applicable), and smocks. Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
