PRN Bartender – Hillcrest Highlands of Gretna

Location: Gretna, NE
Service Line: Hillcrest Highlands of Gretna
Schedule: PRN | Thursday–Saturday | 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

, you will help bring that mission to life by creating a warm, enjoyable experience for residents, preparing beverages and food, and delivering service in a professional and courteous manner.

What You’ll Do

As a Bartender
, you will use your beverage, menu, and service knowledge to help residents enjoy a memorable experience while following all applicable alcohol-service requirements.

You will:

  • Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.

  • Assist residents with beverage and food selections.

  • Prepare and serve drinks and food in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Enter all food and beverage orders accurately into the point-of-sale system.

  • Follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and Hillcrest policies.

  • Complete opening and closing responsibilities according to established checklists.

  • Prepare the bar for service, including filling the ice well and stocking bar snacks.

  • Prepare fruit garnishes and other items needed for beverage service.

  • Wash glasses and maintain clean, organized bar areas.

  • Clean and sanitize counters, tables, chairs, and other service areas.

  • Restock liquor and other beverage products as needed.

  • Monitor and maintain beer, wine, liquor, and food inventory.

  • Assist with inventory counts and product tracking.

  • Support special events and community celebrations.

  • Participate in menu development when appropriate.

  • Attend department meetings and contribute to a positive team environment.

  • Respond to resident questions, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist with additional dining and hospitality responsibilities as assigned.

The role combines beverage service, food service, POS responsibilities, inventory control, sanitation, and resident hospitality.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and understands how much the little details can shape a resident’s experience.

The right candidate will be friendly, dependable, and comfortable creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. You will need to balance great customer service with attention to alcohol-service requirements, sanitation, inventory, and accurate order tracking.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A friendly, welcoming, and service-focused personality.

  • Previous bartending experience.

  • Previous restaurant, dining, hospitality, or food and beverage experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to provide courteous and professional service to residents and guests.

  • Strong attention to detail with orders, inventory, and POS entry.

  • Dependability and consistent follow-through.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling resident or guest concerns.

  • Ability to stay organized during busy service periods.

  • Strong teamwork and willingness to help wherever needed.

  • Ability to follow sanitation, food-safety, and alcohol-service requirements.

  • Comfort working independently while remaining part of the larger dining and community team.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • At least one year of bartending experience
