Position Description Summary

As a Cubby’s Customer Service Representative, customer service is our number one priority. Our CSRs are not just cashiers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a friendly greeting to all customers upon entering the store or on the phone
  • Get to know customers and use their name
  • Go out of your way to make customers feel important and valued
  • Move quickly to provide fast service
  • Suggestively sell to customers when appropriate
  • Thank customers for their business and invite them back
  • Maintain 100% customer attention and show appreciation for their business
Additional Responsibilities – Cleaning & Housekeeping (Inside)
  • Clean restrooms: floor, toilet, sink, mirror, walls, and ceiling; keep odor free; ensure soap, towels, and toilet paper stocked
  • Empty, clean trash cans; keep bags tucked out of sight
  • Sweep and mop floors; keep free of trash, spills, and stains
  • Clean doors and windows
  • Clean cooler doors and shelves; free of stains and spills
  • Sweep rugs; keep free of trash
  • Keep transaction counter clean and organized
  • Keep shelves clean and dust free
  • Keep fast food area equipment and prep area clean and organized
  • Keep back office and cooler neat and organized
  • Keep coffee and fountain area clean; free of spills and trash
  • Keep merchandise clean and dust free
Additional Responsibilities – Cleaning & Housekeeping (Outside)
  • Sweep parking lot; keep free of trash, oil/gas spots, cigarette butts, and weeds
  • Keep windows and doors clean; no faded or unauthorized signs
  • Keep entrance sidewalk clean; sting & trash free
  • Keep external trash cans clean, not overflowing, and bags tucked
  • Keep fuel islands: dispensers and nozzles clean; squeegees and towels on all islands; windshield buckets full
  • Keep car wash sweep inside
  • Stock front; face all merchandise
  • Bag ice if needed
  • All merchandised priced
  • Cooler fronted and labels faced
  • Stock fountain, cooler, and freezer
  • Brew coffee
  • No out-of-date merchandise
  • Move and build displays
  • Sales counter: proper cigarette display, products priced
  • Stock lottery supplies and cigarettes
Additional Responsibilities
  • Check in vendors and gas deliveries
  • Operate POS, lottery, phone card, and money order machines
  • Attend store meetings

  • No cell phone for calls or texting permitted while on duty; only emergency calls from family or friends can be placed to or from store phone only
Position Requirements
  • Must be in physically good shape and able to lift, bend and stand up to eight hours
  • Must be able to balance on step stool or step ladder
  • Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 32°F
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Must be able to do basic math
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English and communicate with customers in English
