Guest Care Associate

Location: Ashland

Spartan Nash -  - Responsibilities:
Provide courteous guest service in person or by telephone; answer incoming calls to the retail store and direct calls to the appropriate department and assist with guest questions in store.;
Operate cash register to itemize customer purchases and assist guests with self-checkouts; handle a variety of products including dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy, produce, poultry, fish, beef and pork.;
Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, and coupons; bag customer purchases.;
Maintain understanding of current store programs and product locations; understand use of check-stand equipment (register, self-checkouts) and its efficient operation.;
Notify the department lead or manager of any pricing, cash register, or related issues; follow PPE, safety and guest experience guidelines; may be assigned tasks in other departments as needed
