About the Role

As a Sales Advisor, you will provide excellent customer service, welcome and guide customers through the store, actively sell our products, and support customers with product knowledge. You will also manage garment refill & care, presentation, and maintain a clean, tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house. Working closely with the store team, you will deliver an excellent customer experience.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M is dynamic; a typical day includes the following responsibilities:

Customer Sales & Profit
  • Provide excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers and supporting them within the OMNI experience where available.
  • Engage in conversations with customers to provide high‑quality service.
  • Guide customers through our fashion trends, stories, and products across the store.
  • Effectively promote and sell our products.
  • Promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
  • Represent the H&M brand positively in all customer interactions.
  • Support commercial or operational actions to reach sales targets with the store management team.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
  • Stay current with fashion trends, styles, brands, and competitors.
  • Use product and fashion knowledge to share relevant information with customers.
Team & Development
  • Share customer service, fashion, and store operations knowledge with colleagues.
  • Follow all procedures, routines, and legal requirements in all store areas.
  • Provide and receive feedback to learn, develop, and support each other.
  • Participate in onboarding, introduction processes, training, and courses relevant to your role and future development.
Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
  • Complete the garment cycle from unpacking and refill to steaming, ensuring proper garment care.
  • Operate fitting rooms and checkout areas according to best practice and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house, including stockrooms.
  • Support garment presentation, execution, and maintain attractive displays that reflect visual and commercial guidelines.
  • Ensure good stock levels through regular replenishment routines.
  • Uphold best practices for in‑store OMNI services and in‑store technology tools.
  • Assist with opening and closing of the store.
  • Follow all H&S guidelines and legal requirements applicable to the role.
Who You Are
  • Passionate about fashion and our in‑store experience.

  • Communicative, creative, curious, motivated, flexible, decisive, and action‑oriented.
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
  • Experienced in sales within a dynamic, collaborative retail setting.
  • Experienced in customer service in fashion, retail, or a similar service‑related industry.
  • Able to lift in excess of 20 pounds and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
  • Capable of climbing ladders and using step stools.
  • Open availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • 1–2+ years of transferable experience welcome.
  • Basic computer skills, including browser navigation, software interaction, and data entry.
  • May be required to travel for training or support other stores.
