Manage sales operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment through attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding talent and effectively engaging department personnel; optimizing Sales Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction; growing profitable new and used complete good sales; and exercising disciplined expense control.

Responsibilities
  • Support sales professionals/account managers to strengthen key customer relationships and drive deal development through established sales process.
  • Recognize and reward team and individual sales professionals while ensuring consistent execution and accountability to the sales process.
  • Provide team and individual development opportunities through both formal and informal techniques.
  • Evaluate the performance of the sales staff, coaches and support their development.
  • Ensure appropriate sales team staffing and recruiting to meet business objectives.
  • Execute and maintain effective Sales Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Execute and manage a customer relationship process that includes understanding of customers and practices within the AOR, expectations for prospect and customer interaction, call scheduling, and timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Takes the lead in sharing best practices and implementing Landmark processes throughout the Sales Department.
  • Achieve budgeted sales, market share and financial objectives that align with and support the company strategy on complete goods inventory and pricing.
  • Ensure, and hold sales professionals accountable to complete accurate paperwork for all sales transactions.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management to create annual Sales Department goals and budget in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales with comprehensive understanding of Ag equipment dealer operations, business systems, and sales support tools.
  • One year of prior management experience or demonstrated willingness and ability to learn management techniques.
  • Ability to develop and motivate others through coaching, knowledge-sharing and modeling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, within a group, and across the organization.
  • Good understanding of financial principles relating to Sales Department operations.
  • Experienced with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Analytical ability to understand root cause issues and interpret internal reports.
  • Ability to set performance goals and deadlines with the knowledge of how to attain them.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires frequent travel between customers, job sites, and facility locations and the ability to remain in a stationary position, as well as move and work in indoor and outdoor environments for extended periods. Duties include operating a computer or mobile device, communicating with customers, and hands‑on interaction with equipment and materials.

The position involves lifting or moving materials or equipment up to approximately 25 to 80 pounds and performing repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, and handling tools or components. The role also requires the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, including maintaining appropriate visual acuity and sustained alertness while driving.
