- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE NEW Incineration unit is seeking an Entry-level Lab Technician responsible for the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties using chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
Starting pay is $22.50 an hour, paid weekly. Safety focused individuals required. This is a great opportunity for college students or recent high school graduates wanting to gain some work experience.

Responsibilities- Ensure a positive and safe work environment by complying with all safety practices and policies.
- Perform analysis of facility samples using GC, GCMS, ICP, and various analytical laboratory instruments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Properly manage waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all applicable OSHA regulations.
- Log samples electronically into the lab database, attach reporting spreadsheets and scans of COC and other paperwork.
- Manage the Lab Supply Room, receiving supplies and reagents, keeping storage tidy, and updating the chemical inventory log.
- Manage sample storage and disposal, keeping the storage organized and tidy.
- Scan and electronically file other records, such as GC/MS raw data.
- Keep the Chemical Inventory list up to date to comply with OSHA requirements.
- Assist chemists as necessary when time permits.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a high school/college level chemistry class.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (or related science) preferred.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication, organization, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Punctuality and attendance required.
- Respirator fit test upon hire – clean shaven face required (mustache is acceptable).
- Background check, drug screen, and physical examination required.
