Location: Cedar Creek

General Description

As a Technician, Level I you will assist in the performance of routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests. You will prepare and transport samples and reports, and perform non-technical functions and office tasks under close supervision of higher level technicians or supervisors.

Technicians of all levels are expected to be physically capable of performing the duties described, including lifting 10 to 60 lbs. and transporting materials up to 200 lbs in a wheelbarrow, cart, or dolly. Every employee of TWE is expected to perform assigned duties safely with consideration for the safety of others around them at all times.

Essential Tasks
  • Assist with sampling or testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as directed.
  • Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks.
  • Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients, or other offices, and provide physical assistance in equipment set-up.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.
  • Retain the information shown and explained to become a self‑sufficient employee and continue to grow with the company.
  • Support our quality policies and procedures; maintain the quality of your work and the quality of TWE in the highest regard with each task you perform.
  • Adhere to TWE safety policies and procedures and encourage improvement of these policies by participation in near‑miss and safety audit programs.
Qualifications
  • No experience necessary
  • Ability to lift 10–60 lbs. and work outside for extended periods of time
  • Capacity to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed
