JOB SUMMARYDiagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul livestock feeding equipment and work in all other aspects of the shop.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Management & Leadership Experience - Service and ticket writing, inventory organization & management, parts sourcing, custom design and modification of parts, components, and upgrades, effective time management and continuous cultivation of a positive work environment.

- Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

- Equipment Maintenance- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Equipment Selection- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job / repair.
- Repair- Diagnose and repair bearings, sprockets, pulleys and chain driven components, check chain tensions and clearance, welding and fabrication, scale diagnostics and repair, truck and diesel work, and work on all parts of livestock feeding equipment.
- Modification and assembly- Upfitting new equipment with factory upgrades or aftermarket enhancements.
- Troubleshooting- Determining causes of operating errors, conducting tests and inspections, and deciding what to do about it.
- Value assessments - Inspect, estimate, and value trade‑in and re‑manufacturer units.
- Customer Interaction- Communicate with customers on achieving service and repair goals.
- Safety- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the shop.
