Thank you for your interest in joining our team! CGB Enterprises, Inc. is an innovative leader in the grain and transportation industries. This role involves working at a facility that loads and unloads rail cars and trucks.
Responsibilities- Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
- Perform all duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Transfer, load, and move grain to the appropriate location.
- Perform rail duties such as prep, unload, load, placement, and handling of rail cars where applicable.
- Handle weigh‑ing of trucks and grading of grain.
- Complete documentation accurately and legibly in a timely manner.
- Maintain general clean‑up tasks: sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting, and other housekeeping responsibilities.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs where applicable.
- Maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred.
- Operate heavy equipment and dryers where required (operator, monitor, and shut down tasks).
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: None required. Preferred 1 year working in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Basic mathematical skills, effective interpersonal, oral and written communication, ability to complete documentation, follow directions, think logically, troubleshoot problems, work independently or within a team, use appropriate tools, maintain focus on customer service.
- Constant/continuous ability to balance, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel, and squat.
- Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders, and work at significant heights.
- Concentration on tasks without distraction.
- Distinguish grain grade, color, odor, and damage characteristics.
- Enter information into a computer as required.
- Reach frequently.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally to continuously, depending on location.
- Meet PPE requirements and pass PFT and fit testing where applicable.
- Pass FRA and DOT testing for this position, where required.
- Work in confined spaces, on barge surfaces, and around water.
- Work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed.
- Work outside in extreme weather and high dust conditions.
- Stay aware of surroundings and respond quickly to signals or changes.
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings with heat, cold, wet, humid, and dry conditions; frequent use of personal protective equipment; and the ability to work around large bulk grain products.
Travel5%–20% travel may be required, including off‑site training or work at alternate locations.
CompensationExpected base pay range: $16.00–$26.00 hourly. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and job‑related skills.
