Responsible for the provision of family support services to families and individuals involved in the Omaha Tribal Children and Family Services program. Family Support services are provided to enhance and strengthen families and must maintain or strengthen the family/individual's capacity to function as independently as possible. These services will be delivered in a family-centered, community-based and culturally competent manner. Other family support services will assist adults to become self-sufficient in a safe and healthy environment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have a minimum of 2 years work experience in the Human Service field. This experience could include Social Work, Counseling/Guidance, psychology, sociology, human development, mental health education or a closely related human service field.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- Must have a driver's license and be insurable by the Tribe
- Willing to submit to random drug test and adhere to the drug free workplace policy.
- Submit to the central registry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES:
- Must be able to write reports, business or legal correspondence;
- Must have the ability to communicate well, both in writing and orally;
- Must be able to manage time well to complete work assigned;
- Must be familiar with child development, family dynamics, and the court process for handling of juvenile cases;
- Must be familiar with community resources available to families and children;
- Must be knowledgeable of Omaha family traditions.
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
