Tigrinya Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Interpret accurately for management, personnel staff, and any team members who are non‑English speaking.
• Interpret documents accurately from English to TBA or vice versa.
• Assist dispensary staff with physicals and doctor appointments, including interpreting for non‑English‑speaking team members at the doctor’s office.
• Perform any other tasks or miscellaneous duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Good general knowledge of production areas and management personnel. Skilled in accurate interpretation. Must be able to communicate and translate effectively in verbal and written format between English and TBA. Confidentiality is a must.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic PC skills preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP Professional programs such as Excel, Word, and Office.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of team members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.
• Special
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to drive a company vehicle. Must carry a valid driver’s license. Class D Chauffeurs License preferred. Excellent people skills and willingness to assist as needed. Ability to work under little supervision.
• Other Requirements:
  Good attendance, safety, and all‑around work record. Minimum attendance level of 6 points. No written warning within the last 6 months.
