Responsibilities- Perform general warehouse functions involved with shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks and conducting material movement transactions in SAP/Apriso.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, slip sheet, yard truck, and box truck.
- Drive company trucks (box truck, yard truck, trailer) between plant buildings and the warehouse.
- Assist operators in loading and unloading products, both manually and automatically.
- Prepare products for manual and/or automated processing.
- Back trailers to loading docks and open/close trailer and container doors.
- Load sterilized product onto trailers, use the load sheet, and perform daily yard checks.
- Place temporary or shipping seals on trailers.
- Collaborate with management to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of all goods taken from warehouse stock.
- Communicate and maintain favorable relationships with fellow workers, other departments, leadership, vendors, and freight companies.
- Work with minimal supervision, ensuring on‑time delivery of all materials.
- Assist with radiation emergencies when they occur.
- Follow precise written procedures and provide training for new associates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader to support business needs.
- Attend required training and meetings.
- Maintain general housekeeping and safety awareness in the work area.
- Participate in TRS activities and other maintenance tasks.
- High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Forklift Operation (including slip sheet) – certification within 3 months.
- Yard truck and box truck operation – certification within 3 months.
- CDL preferred; valid driver’s license required.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word).
- Good interpersonal skills.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English; possess strong interpersonal skills; and have basic computer proficiency. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and GMP regulations.
Physical DemandsExerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally and 10–25 pounds of force frequently, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds constantly. The role involves manual handling, operating heavy machinery, and working in high‑speed manufacturing and sterilization environments. Exposure to dust, heat, fumes, noise, vibration, chemicals, and changing weather conditions may occur.
Work EnvironmentWork takes place in a high‑speed manufacturing environment with no air conditioning in parts of the sterilization/warehouse area. Safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and a high‑visibility vest are required.
