Operations Manager - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Operations Manager – 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). This role oversees key operational areas to maintain smooth warehouse operations, ensuring customer commitments are met and driving continuous improvement.

• Communicate with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure commitments are met.
• Implement and enforce GXO’s quality policies, establishing procedures to maintain quality objectives.
• Provide guidance to supervisors on personnel, quality, and safety matters.
• Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff.
• Recommend programs to improve operations.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate records and complete timely reports.
• Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends.

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field.
• 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement.
• Experience in warehousing or Third‑Party Logistics (3PL).
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving and statistical analysis skills.

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach (including above head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.
