You'll be working at VAESS, a Dutch food technology company based in Deventer that develops functional ingredients and innovative concepts for the global food industry, including meat, plant-based, bakery, and seafood products. Founded in 1946, VAESS helps food manufacturers improve product quality, taste, texture, and sustainability through specialized food engineering solutions.

As a VAESS business support trainee you will identify, analyze and document business processes in collaboration with process owners and stakeholders. The traineeship offers hands‑on experience in business process management, stakeholder communication and process modeling. The trainee should have experience working with Microsoft Visio and non‑technical process optimisation, and preferably be from an EU‑country to start ASAP.

• Process identification and scoping: identify processes and define their scope and boundaries.
• Stakeholder interviews: gather information by conducting interviews with co‑workers and process experts to gain accurate understanding of processes.
• Process documentation: document processes ensuring completeness, clarity and consistency.
• Process modelling (BPMN): translate processes into clear process flows using Microsoft Visio.
• Review, validation and improvement support: review processes with stakeholders to validate accuracy and support continuous improvement.
