Site Project Planner

Full Time Nederland, Texas, USA With Professional Experience

YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING is currently building a candidate pool for an upcoming large‑scale project in the field of industrial process plant construction in the greater Nederland area, Texas.
The project will involve site‑based execution activities within a complex industrial environment and is scheduled to start in Q2, with an initial duration of approximately six months and a potential extension.

  • Workload: Typically up to 56 hours per week, 6 days per week
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, maintain, and govern integrated project schedules in alignment with contractual requirements and execution strategy.
  • Prepare and manage logic‑driven schedules from Level 3 to Level 5, covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Review, assess, and validate contractor and subcontractor schedules for logical integrity, realism, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
  • Approve or reject baseline schedules, updates, and revisions based on defined planning and governance criteria.
  • Continuously analyze schedules to identify critical path changes, delays, negative float, logic weaknesses, and emerging risks.
  • Proactively develop mitigation measures, acceleration options, recovery strategies, and what‑if scenarios to support management decision‑making.
  • Support change management processes by assessing schedule impacts resulting from scope changes, variations, or execution adjustments.
  • Review and assess Time Impact Analyses and schedule‑related claims submitted by contractors and support claims defense and contractual correspondence.
  • Prepare clear, structured schedule reports, analyses, and dashboards for site management, project leadership, and senior stakeholders.
  • Communicate schedule status, risks, delays, and mitigation strategies in a transparent and decision‑oriented manner.
  • Lead and participate in planning, progress, look‑ahead, and recovery meetings, ensuring that outcomes and actions are documented and tracked to closure.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and contractor teams to ensure alignment with the integrated project schedule.
YOUR PROFILE
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • You have extensive experience as a Project Planner, Senior Planner, or Scheduler within industrial plant construction or EPC projects.
  • You demonstrate strong expertise in CPM scheduling, critical path management, and integrated project controls.
  • You have solid experience in contractor schedule oversight, delay analysis, and mitigation planning within contractual project environments.
  • You are an advanced user of Primavera P6 and Excel; experience with reporting dashboards such as Power BI is a strong advantage.
  • You possess a strong analytical mindset and are able to translate complex schedule data into clear, actionable insights for management.
  • You communicate confidently and professionally in English and are comfortable interacting with senior management and multiple stakeholders.
  • You are willing and able to work on site in the United States for the full project duration, including extended working hours if required.
