Test Field Engineer

As a Test Field Engineer at Van Meer you play a crucial role in assessing rotating equipment that enters our workshop. You can think of electric motors, generators, fans, gearboxes and pumps. You start with a thorough evaluation of the equipment, perform cleaning procedures, open the terminal boxes and electrically connect the equipment for test runs.

In addition, you carry out inspections in various areas, including vibrations, noise, power consumption and electrical data. You record the findings of these inspections in detailed test reports, including recommendations for the workplace preparers and technicians. In addition, you are proactively involved in identifying improvements and adjustments, also determining the best order for these actions.

The prepared reports are not only used internally, but also shared with our customers. You are therefore the link for questions about the findings in these reports, both within our organization and with customers. Your expertise and insights are essential for understanding the findings and providing clear answers and advice when needed.

Experience in a similar role with a focus on quality inspections is a plus but not a requirement. You must enjoy performing measurements on electrical equipment. Independence appeals to you and you are enthusiastic about occasionally working on site at our customers' premises. Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude are characteristic of you in this regard.

• A completed MBO education in the direction of Electrical Engineering and/or Mechatronics;
