, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic utilities location, helping monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Guided by a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help to deter security‑related incidents while delivering service with integrity and teamwork.

- Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security‑related policies for a utilities location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitor and vehicle activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and reporting procedures.
- Communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or emergency personnel regarding access issues, unusual activity, and security‑related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for suspicious activity, access control concerns, and maintenance issues that may need to be reported.
- Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
