A well-established real estate organization is seeking a Property Accountant to become part of their growing team. The role offers a competitive salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus a 10% bonus and provides strong opportunities for professional growth within a reputable and expanding company. This position is located onsite in Needham, MA, with a hybrid work arrangement.

- Play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational accounting processes

- Record monthly gross potential rents, vacancy, and loss/gain to lease
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts such as cash, receivables, prepaids, payables, and accrued expenses
- Recalculate and adjust management fees as needed
- Ensure timely payment of mortgage and real estate taxes
- Maintain recurring payables and journal entries for each property
- Review and analyze general ledger activity; prepare and submit periodic reporting packages
- Support the external audit process and prepare work papers
- Valid accounting or business administration Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, specifically in residential property management
- Prior experience with Yardi software required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel at an intermediate level or higher
- Strong knowledge of transactional and report generation
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
