RECEPTIONIST – PART‑TIME (3‑11 PM)
Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday | Every Other Weekend
The Pines Edge Skilled Nursing Facility Receptionist is responsible for tending to visitors and managing inquiries by phone and face‑to‑face regarding daily operations, resident matters, and communications for Pines Edge Skilled Nursing Facility.
JobSpecific Duties

- Creates and maintains an enthusiastic and positive environment
- Ensures sign‑in and sign‑out in designated logs
- Answers telephone calls promptly and appropriately; transfers calls and takes messages as required
- Assists residents with telephone communication as necessary
- Receives inquiries and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Maintains a current file of residents by name and room number, department extensions, and key team members
- Manages incoming mail for the households
- Supports resident move‑in and move‑out processes through chart preparation and labeling
- Maintains a supply of charting materials at all times
- Provides administrative support for Pines Edge to include daily census, resident information, and business office administration
- Provides necessary census information to appropriate parties and departments via email
- Posts daily staffing summary and schedule per regulation
- Ensures the distribution of daily newspapers
- Recognizes and reports all allegations of resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, social media exposure, and/or misappropriation of resident property immediately
- Assists with scheduling as needed and provides household assistance as needed
- Meets department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements
- Complies with all OSHA safety regulations and local applicable laws regarding health, safety, or environment
Skills and Abilities
- Maintains confidentiality and strong customer support skills
- Works independently with limited supervision
- Deals tactfully with team members, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Works professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio‑economic backgrounds
- Complies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguards
- Communicates effectively in English when working in resident areas
- Attends and participates in in‑service educational classes, memory care training, Healthcare Academy, and staff meetings as directed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years general office experience preferred
- Proficient with computer software programs and EMR
- Will be subject to frequent interruptions
- May be asked to work beyond normal working hours and in other areas temporarily when necessary
- May be subject to call‑backs during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post‑disaster)
- This position requires regular weekend and holiday work
- Must follow all PPE requirements set forth by North Hill
Satisfactory completion of a background investigation is required for this position.

$20–$23 per hour. Individual compensation within this range is based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including education, overall experience, relevant experience, and specific skills.
