Primary Responsibilities
- Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions
- Develops and implements a plan of care for these patients, and prescribes medications, exercises, and other treatments and testing such as lab sessions & testing including echocardiography, stress testing, vascular ultrasound imaging, nuclear imaging, and cardiac device clinic
- Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care, maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies
- Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists, consulting with providers on issues related to patient care
- Teaches and counsels individuals and groups regarding specific health care needs, serving as an educator in areas of specialization
- Participates in the development of health education programs
- Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Cardiology
- Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations
- Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
- Echo and Nuclear certification
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $367,500 – $700,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
