Description
The Tobin Beaudet Schools is seeking a warm, nurturing Lead Teacher to join our early childhood preschool team, with the opportunity to transition into our new Toddler classroom opening in July. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week position with consistent 8‑hour shifts. The Lead Teacher will guide their teaching team in providing high‑quality supervision, thoughtful curriculum planning, ongoing child assessment, effective family communication, and strict adherence to all safety and sanitation standards.

What will you be engaged in day‑to‑day?- Leading and participating in daily teaching activities.
- Coordinating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum in compliance with EEC regulations.
- Monitoring daily classroom operations to ensure safety, positive interactions, and engaging learning experiences.
- Providing consistent supervision and care for children during classroom hours.
- Observing, documenting, and addressing individual child needs, concerns, and developmental progress, and communicating findings with staff and the Director.
- Building and maintaining positive, professional, and confidential relationships with families through ongoing communication about classroom activities and child progress.
- Encouraging parent engagement and fostering strong school–family partnerships.
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Completing required child assessments and maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date documentation in children’s files.
- Meeting with families throughout the year as required.
- Creating and sharing timely classroom communications, including newsletters, calendars, curriculum updates, and notices.
- Adhering to all school policies, procedures, and professional codes of ethics.
- Participating in required trainings, professional development activities, and continuing education.
- Attending staff meetings as required.
- Supporting children’s individual needs, including hygiene and personal care, as needed.
- Serving as a mandated reporter and reporting suspected child abuse or neglect to the Directors in accordance with state requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- EEC Lead Teacher Certification or ability to obtain within 9 months.
- Infant, Toddler, or Preschool certification preferred, with prior early childhood teaching experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional platforms such as Constant Contact.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and follow‑through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to foster a warm, welcoming, and positive classroom and team culture.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Flexibility and willingness to support colleagues and assist in classrooms as needed.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfort with both receiving direction and providing guidance to others.
- Self‑motivated professional with a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to high‑quality care for children.
- Paid 1/2 hour break on work days over 6 hours

We offer a competitive hourly rate based on education and experience, ranging from $26.50 to $29.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive full‑time benefits package.
