OverviewThe Product Safety & Compliance Engineer will interact with team members in the US and China. They will have direct involvement with our certification partners for electrical safety, restricted materials, sanitization and chemical substances. The candidate will be responsible for all compliance activities for low and medium complexity projects for the product category assigned covering all regions where the product is marketed.
ExcitingThings You'll Get To Do
Contribute to initiatives related to market surveillance activities. Evaluate marketplace data and consumer events for safety risks. Support certification projects for legacy product changes. Oversee recurring certification activities (EPA, Restricted & Regulated Chemicals). Lead low and medium complexity product certification projects. Lead design reviews at key milestones for your projects. Present the status of your projects and associated project risks. Support preparation of executive review updates on all team activities.
Attributes& Skills
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline. Minimum of 2 years of compliance or design related experience of consumer or commercial electromechanical products preferred. Entry level knowledge of regulatory standards or governmental regulations. Experience with participating in DFMEA sessions preferred. Must be able to:
- Operate comfortably in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining continuous track of key details.
- Multi-task, maintaining a continuous comprehensive understanding of project status.
- Present creative and technically sound solutions to complex problems.
- Analyze operations and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with conviction and demonstrate strength on key positions yet be able to collaborate and compromise where appropriate.
- Think independently with moderate supervision and generate ideas within their area of expertise.
- Make sound decisions utilizing all available information.
- Communicate complex technical information to audiences with varying technical understanding.

- Work effectively independently.
- Present at a high level to all levels within the organization, demonstrating comfort and confidence in collaborating with colleagues and superiors.
Salary and other compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Pay Range $69,000 - $120,800 USD
