Senior Mechanical Engineer – Corded/Cordless Products
Location:
Needham, MA (On‑Site)
You will embed in the early‑stage innovation phase for Ninja’s Corded/Cordless Products line, moving fast, validating ideas early, and handing off credible solutions to the development team.
Responsibilities- Drive front‑end technology and feasibility roadmap for Corded/Cordless Products, collaborating with teams across the US, UK, and China.
- Build proof‑of‑concept rigs and functional prototypes to stress‑test ideas before full development.
- Work across mechanical design, sensors, software, batteries, and connectivity to see the whole system.
- Communicate ideas rapidly through sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models, and physical prototypes.
- Run design and engineering studies, keeping the consumer experience as the north star.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture that treats failure as signal.
- Stay close to IP development, identifying novel and inventive solutions alongside R&D.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a closely related field.
- 4–8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design.
- Hands‑on experience designing electromechanical products in a product‑development environment.
- Proficiency in Solid Works or Creo.
- Experience with plastic part design, including injection‑molded, silicone, and rubber components.
- Comfortable building prototypes, running tests, reporting findings, and determining next steps.
- Strong communicator; can sketch an idea on a whiteboard and defend it in an engineering review.
- Background in consumer goods or household appliances.
- Experience designing sheet metal components.
- Familiarity working with IP teams to identify novel or inventive solutions.
Annual salary range: $90,000—$130,000 USD.
