Test Engineer, Quality Engineering, Product Engineer
The Test Department’s role is to identify all issues within our products before launch. This position focuses on developing new testing protocols to evaluate product performance, safety, and consumer experience. The Test Engineer will work closely with Engineering and Product Development teams to advocate for product quality and challenge design assumptions.
Responsibilities- Represent the consumer voice by developing and implementing testing protocols and standards.
- Act as an expert on protocol, safety, performance, and test standard questions.
- Identify and collaborate with internal and external SMEs across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Present status of activities and special projects to senior/executive management.
- Help establish project user design and functional requirements; deliver robust testing protocols and validate through testing.
- Develop protocols from conception through CAD, prototyping, and verification, driving the team to maintain a fast pace.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on testing rig design to evaluate product performance.
- Coordinate with international Product Development teams (UK, BOS, AL, China) to ensure ideas reach production.
- Conduct competitive product analysis and market research to benchmark performance and consumer usage.
- BSEE, BSME, or equivalent technical degree.
- 1+ years of product test engineering experience.
- Prior experience designing or analyzing electromechanical systems.
- Ability to design and assemble full‑scale test fixtures.
- Data analysis experience with general statistics (e.g., Tukey Range, T‑tests).
- Excellent oral and written communication; ability to create reports, correspondence, and procedures.
- Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm for driving improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis skills.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments.
- Experience with JIRA or other project management tools.
- Experience with Minitab or equivalent statistics software.
- 3‑D modeling skills.
- Model shop experience.
- Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or scripting (including Python).
Annual salary range: $58,500—$110,000 USD.
