Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient Rehabilitation
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a well-respected nonprofit senior living and rehabilitation organization in Needham, MA to hire a Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time outpatient rehabilitation opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist seeking a stable position with a collaborative interdisciplinary team, competitive compensation, and a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays required.
Position Overview- Location:

Nonprofit Senior Living & Rehabilitation Organization - Assignment: 13-week contract with strong potential for permanent hire
- Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Some flexibility with daily hours may be available
- No weekends
- No holidays
- Contract Rate: $63/hour
- Permanent Rate: $52-$55/hour (based on experience)
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing skilled therapeutic interventions. The PT will work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care while supporting patient independence, mobility, and overall wellness.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and established standards of practice
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Participate in care conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental projects
- Assist with the supervision of therapy assistants, students, and interns as assigned
- Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies
- Participate in emergency preparedness activities and ongoing professional development
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist License
- Minimum of two (2) years of Physical Therapist experience
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with older adult and geriatric populations
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and rehabilitation documentation requirements
