Encapsulated cell-based gene therapy is designed to provide long-term, sustained delivery of therapeutic proteins for the treatment of chronic eye diseases.
The Senior Manager, Field Force Effectiveness & Commercial Systems is responsible for enabling and optimizing field execution through ownership of commercial platforms, operational programs, compliance-driven processes, and field operations training. This role serves as the primary business lead for Veeva CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring systems, data, and policies are clearly understood, consistently applied, and effectively adopted by the field organization.
In addition to systems leadership, this role designs and delivers field-facing training on commercial tools, data usage, and operational policies, ensuring field teams are equipped to execute compliantly and efficiently. The role partners closely with Sales, Market Access, Marketing, IT, Compliance, Legal and Training to support launch execution and ongoing commercialization.
This position is in Needham, MA, 4 days per week in-office
Responsibilities- Serve as the business owner for Veeva CRM, overseeing system configuration, enhancements, releases, and ongoing optimization across four field facing teams
- Manage CRM roadmaps, integrations, user access, data quality, and governance
- Lead business requirements gathering and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system implementation and ongoing enhancements
- Act as the commercial operations lead for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, supporting compliant digital engagement and field-marketing coordination
- Ensure alignment between CRM, Marketing Cloud, reporting, and downstream analytics platforms
- Design and deliver field operations training focused on: CRM and digital engagement tools (Veeva CRM, Marketing Cloud), field data usage, reporting and interpretation, operational policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements
- Partner with Sales Training to integrate systems and operations training into onboarding, launch training, and ongoing reinforcement
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve usability, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen field effectiveness
- Lead training sessions (live, virtual, and recorded) and provide ongoing field support post-training
- Measure training effectiveness through adoption metrics, system usage, and field feedback
- Own operational programs supporting the field organization, including company vehicle reimbursement program, and vendor credentialing
- Serve as a point of escalation for field operational and system-related issues
- Manage PRC (Promotional Review Committee) vendor and processes, including intake, review timelines, approvals, documentation, and audit readiness
- Maintain PRC workflows, tools, and reporting to support transparency and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in biotech and/or specialty pharmaceutical company
- Experience supporting a field force in a launch or early commercialization environment
- Hands-on experience serving as business owner or power user for Veeva CRM (business ownership, configuration oversight, adoption, and governance)
- Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (compliant digital engagement, campaign execution)
- Demonstrated experience delivering field operations training on systems, data, and policies
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
