Senior Copywriter – Shark Beauty Location

Role Summary

The Senior Copywriter will be a key voice within Shark Beauty’s consumer-centric, product-led creative team. This role partners closely with Creative, Product Development, Engineering, and Marketing to bring innovative beauty products to life through clear, compelling storytelling. From product naming and brand voice development to campaign concepts and video scripts, this role ensures Shark Beauty products are always the hero—celebrated for their performance, innovation, and consumer impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop creative concepts for new product launches, including product naming, manifestos, campaign ideas, and foundational voice and tone for new categories
  • Create clear, compelling copy across digital advertising, retailer content, email, web, and other consumer-facing touchpoints, ensuring consistency and clarity across the funnel
  • Write scripts for retailer, brand, and OTT video content, translating complex product features into engaging, consumer-friendly stories
  • Get hands‑on with Shark Beauty products to deeply understand features, benefits, and performance, enabling authentic and credible storytelling
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Designers, Creative Ops, and Project Managers from concept through execution
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product Development, Brand Marketing, and Consumer Insights to ensure accuracy, alignment, and impact
  • Leverage consumer insights and performance data to uncover opportunities that spark big ideas and strengthen messaging effectiveness
  • Serve as a steward of the Shark Beauty brand voice, helping define and maintain tone, language, and storytelling standards
  • Bring strategic thinking, creative problem‑solving, and flexibility to fast‑paced, highly iterative projects with tight timelines
Qualifications Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of experience as a copywriter, ideally within consumer products, beauty, lifestyle, or technology-driven brands
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Linguistics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven ability to write across multiple formats, including digital advertising, email, web content, and video scripts
  • Strong experience translating technical or complex product features into clear, consumer-first messaging
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting and defending creative decisions
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong time management skills with a track record of delivering high-quality work under pressure
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Experience with in the beauty, personal care, or lifestyle technology space
  • Familiarity with full‑funnel creative development and go‑to‑market launches
  • Experience collaborating within in‑house creative teams or integrated agency environments
