Golf Shop Merchandiser Needham Golf Club

Needham Golf Club was incorporated in 1923 as a Member-owned, private Wayne Stiles designed 9-Hole golf course uniquely situated within the Needham, MA community, offering an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The clubhouse was newly constructed in 2011 and includes a state-of-the-art kitchen facility and gorgeous views of the golf course. The clubhouse has a function room that seats up to 150 people, outdoor a la carte seating, a grill room, the main bar, and a smaller dining area off the grill room.

The Club is open ten months a year and has approximately 700 members with a waitlist.

We are seeking a Pro Shop Merchandiser for the 2026 Season. The individual in this role is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience for members and guests by procuring, managing and displaying golf-related apparel and accessories in the Pro Shop. Also perform daily pro shop duties supporting the Golf Professionals.

• Collaborate with Head Golf Professional to curate a selection of merchandise that aligns with member preferences and trends.
• Create attractive and engaging displays to strategically showcase products to enhance sales and drive growth.
• Receive, organize, and maintain adequate stock levels of apparel, and accessories.
• Assist customers with finding the right products, providing recommendations, and offering support during sales transactions.
• Assist with sales transactions, processing payments, and special orders.
• Perform other Pro Shop duties such as answering phones, checking in players, assisting with tournaments and other items assigned by Head Golf Professional.

• Experience as a merchandiser/buyer/assistant buyer not required, however, golf shop experience and a passion for golf a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers effectively.
• Proficiency with POS systems (Northstar preferred, not required) and basic computer applications (i.e. MS Office suite).

Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full time, salaried position, offering individual health insurance (Club pays 70% of individual plan), Simple IRA plan, Paid Time Off and potential year-end bonus.

Expected Compensation – $50,000-$55,000
