We are hiring an Inside Sales Representative to convert leads into long-term customers in a fast-moving, price-sensitive commodity market. In this high-activity role, you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, relying on speed, accuracy, and persistence to win business. You will collaborate with Operations to drive opportunities from quote to secure purchase order efficiently, turning initial wins into consistent repeat revenue.
WhatYou’ll Sell
High-volume food, beverage, nutritional ingredients such as sweeteners, preservatives, vitamins, amino acids, proteins, etc.
What You’ll Do- Prospect & Win:Approach procurement decision-makers and execute proactive outreach (email, phone, video) to turn cold leads into your first purchase order. We will provide the contacts.
- Quote with Speed:Provide fast, accurate pricing and follow up consistently to turn quotes into orders.
- Drive Retention:Build trust-based relationships that turn one-off transactional wins into consistent, repeat business.
- Collaborate on Execution:Work closely with Operations to ensure all product details meet customer’s requirements.
- Manage the Pipeline:Maintain clear, organized activity tracking to ensure deal status is transparent and follow-ups never fall through the cracks.
This role is measured on outcomes and execution, including:
- Sales revenue and volume
- Lead-to-customer conversion
- Quote-to-PO conversion
- Responsiveness, quoting speed, and quote accuracy
- Competitive base salary plus performance bonus tied to results.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of inside sales experience in high-volume, price-sensitive commodity sales (contract and spot business) with procurement-led buying cycles (ingredients, chemicals, or distribution).
- Strong outbound prospecting skills with a proven track record of converting leads into customers.
- Strong commercial judgement and comfort with numeric details, pricing, and terms.
- Clear, professional writing: concise outreach and follow-up emails that earn replies, confirm next steps, and sustain multi-threaded conversations with procurement, QA, R&D, and supply chain of the customers.
- Strong meeting leadership: able to set agendas, organize and lead video calls, handle objections, and close for next steps.
- Strong persuasion and positioning: able to communicate company capabilities and commercial rationale in a way that builds trust and influences decisions.
- Experience completing annual bid sheets and participating in online bidding processes.
- Proficiency in Excel formulas, Pivot Tables.

Full-time, on site with office in Needham MA
Compensation:Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives. The compensation package will be tailored based on experience, capability, and proven results. Top performers can earn $200K+ in total compensation, while candidates with fewer years of experience may start around $70K, depending on qualifications and performance.
