Job Overview
Lead cross‑functional strategic sourcing process for a portfolio of categories assigned to achieve targeted TCO reduction while appropriately addressing quality and service levels. Categories include: MRO, Capital, Services, Transportation, etc.
Work closely with functional stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective strategy development and execution. Collaborate with Cross Business Group Category Leaders to drive the overall company strategy.
Oversee development and execution of sourcing strategies for the spend portfolio. Develop distinctive expertise across the portfolio. Achieve annual spend/value improvements across the entire portfolio. Drive working capital improvement strategies and initiatives. Lead, motivate and develop procurement co‑workers. Attract and develop talent. Deliver sustainable improvements to business results including supply assurance, cost, quality, service and innovation.
Accountabilities- Lead, develop, motivate and assign people to appropriate tasks; ensure career development and succession planning.
- Ensure the right people are in the right place with appropriate support to contribute to the operating plan toward delivering financial results in line with the agreed budget.
- Set a regular cadence for meetings, reporting and drive employee engagement.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective procurement strategies that ensure quality of services and improved value.
- Set clear standards with respect to Procurement and ensure consistency with company requirements and standards; remain current with market trends and supplier opportunities.
- Translate purchasing strategy into concrete action plans that satisfy customer needs, company targets and quality and standards.
- Ensure Procurement is integrated in core business processes and that the sites’ needs are effectively represented in the Procurement Strategies.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate more innovative and beneficial contractual agreements and service levels.
- Manage negotiation process, content and results; lead the negotiation team to define desired outcomes.
- Identify stakeholders, understand and interpret their current and future needs, and manage their expectations; advise and build long‑term value partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with relevant departments to ensure understanding and compliance with key procurement strategies and policies.
- Develop annual savings targets through opportunity analysis and prioritization; implement financial plans and budgets to meet goals, targets and objectives.
- Forecast, monitor and communicate category value improvements.
- Provide periodic and ad hoc reports and forecasts on performance against plan.
- Coach and develop direct and indirect reports and utilize influence to manage alignment against agreed objectives.
- Develop trust within the businesses so that conflicting priorities or other issues can be managed and solutions can be agreed upon.
- Develop supplier relationships that encourage open dialogue and cooperation in identifying and implementing win/win situations that add value to both organisations.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant procurement and/or supply chain leadership experience.
- Relevant experience in a company with a mature procurement function.
- Experience working in an international company.
- Proven leadership skills, influence and communication skills.
University degree in a relevant discipline (MBA preferred).
CompensationBase salary range: $206,300 to $309,500, depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for management incentive plan or sales incentive plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance. Medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits are also provided.
