Position Summary
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving the organization’s Zero Defect Strategy and continuous improvement within the supply base for compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualification:
Lead supplier qualification as a key member of supplier selection and evaluation teams, employing a risk‑based approach. - Lead Supplier Audits: Conduct audits applying good auditing practices and the Quality Management System (QMS) for new programs and ongoing supplier management.

Qualification:
Use product specifications to identify Critical to Quality features and complete part qualification activities using PPAP elements, integrating part qualification into receiving inspection, sampling plans, and inspection criteria. - Represent Supplier Quality: Participate in APQP teams and supplier change requests, driving Zero Defect strategies into the supply chain.
- Supplier Management: Lead corrective actions across the supply chain, analyze data trends, provide feedback, and categorize suppliers by risk.
- Engineering Expertise: Apply engineering expertise to challenge supplier processes using PFMEA, CP, SPC, and guide future supplier quality strategies.
- Process Improvement: Apply domain depth to SOPs, work instructions, and templates to improve standard work and operational rigor.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience (preferred). Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- ASQ Certification preferred (CQE, CQA, CMQOE).
- Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies and processes.
Support operational teams in a manufacturing environment, requiring compliance with personal protective equipment and typical manufacturing conditions. Activities include inspecting, qualifying, troubleshooting, and improving jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods.
CompensationSalary range: $63,900.00 – $95,900.00. The salary offered will be based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
