Senior Scientist Materials

Senior Scientist – Materials – will lead strategy and execution of materials‑based projects to improve consumer experience for Kimberly‑Clark’s iconic brands.

• Lead strategy development, front‑end innovation, and short/mid‑term execution of materials projects.
• Collaborate with external and internal vendors, product scientists, process engineers, and cross‑functional teams across KCNA and global regions.
• Translate consumer needs into technical proposals and points of view aligned with manufacturing for material qualification.
• Implement material qualifications for ongoing tampon projects, develop junior scientists, and provide consulting and problem‑solving expertise.
• Work with procurement to generate value propositions and develop short‑ and long‑term strategy.
• Creatively innovate for consumer benefits.
• Travel up to 20%.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8+ years in R&E product/material development or related roles.
• Strong project‑leadership experience across functional stages and gates within required time frames.
• Solid understanding of material properties and their impact on product performance.
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in feminine care and Class
  
  II consumer products & materials.
• Experience managing supplier relationships to execute innovation programs and create value.

Salary range: $105,740–$130,620 USD (US locations only).
Target bonus: eligibility.
