Description POSITION SUMMARY

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and development of fluid power systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of customer requirements, with accountability for identifying and resolving design-related challenges. The Systems Engineer II develops and reviews customer and vendor quotations, technical manuals, and fluid power system documentation, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with project specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Design and develop fluid power systems for both new and existing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date fluid power drawings and schematics, including reviewing and processing engineering change requests.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving opportunities related to fluid power system design.
  • Oversee project execution to ensure deliverables are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review customer specifications and develop accurate, competitive quotations.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Communicate project progress and technical information through reports, presentations, and design reviews as needed.
  • Develop and review technical manuals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • Support the Kundinger Quality Control process through compliance with the Quality Management requirements, customer focus and continual improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment, with periodic exposure to an industrial shop setting that may include varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and proximity to moving mechanical equipment. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while operating a computer and viewing a screen. The position may also require occasional movement within the office and shop areas.

Travel to customer and vendor locations is required, where similar environmental conditions may be encountered.
