Job Description
Position
Purpose:
Manage chemical dispensary operations aligned with the site's chemical management system at the Neenah and Roswell sites ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT)

Scope:
Position responsibilities include: managing the chemical management system for the Neenah and Roswell sites from Procurement to Disposal; provide technical expertise in the areas of OSHA, DOT and EPA compliance, chemical EHS reviews, and chemical emergency preparedness/response.
The position performs the daily tasks associated with operation of the chemical dispensary operations. To accomplish this purpose the incumbent must ensure the following:
• Compliance with Department of Transportation regulations related to the
shipping and receiving of chemicals
• Compliance with RCRA regulations related to the proper disposal and
classification of chemical waste
• Compliance with the site Hazard Communication program (e.g. SDS
management, chemical labeling, chemical inventorying, chemical database)
• Compliance with the site Chemical Hygiene Plan
• Compliance with EHS standards
• Ensures cost effective solutions for chemical management from Procurement
to Disposal
Qualifications:
• This position requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a
bachelor's degree or a recognized safety certificate and/or certification with commensurate work experience of at least 1-3 years working with chemical management regulations. Preference 2-5 years of experience
• The incumbent should be able to demonstrate working knowledge of relevant
chemical related laws (OSHA, DOT, EPA)
*** DOT Certification strongly desired, prefer not to have to train someone on this.
Will be signing off on waste manifests.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Manage the chemical dispensary and the chemical management system for the
Neenah and Roswell sites
• Administer the Site Chemical Hygiene Program and Hazard Communication
Program to assist site leadership in achieving continuous improvement in chemical safety and continuing compliance with regulations and Standards
• Provide expert consultation to employees in support of regulatory issues
(OSHA, DOT and EPA RCRA), operating guidelines and site procedures
• Review chemical orders for the purpose of anticipating hazards, hazard
communication, assessing potential exposures, and recommending exposure controls
• Ensure that matters within the incumbent's area of expertise that could
adversely impact the business of the Corporation are communicated in a timely manner
• Partner with Procurement to ensure cost effective solutions are in place
for chemical and gas cylinder procurement and regulated waste disposal
• Maintain knowledge and required certifications in field of expertise and
remain current on relevant industry standards

management system:
SharePoint; SAP;
Incident Reporting and Accident Investigation (EtQ);
Container and Safety Data Sheet Management (3EVerisk); and EHS Training (SABA)
