Community Service Aide
The Neenah Police Department is looking for students to work as Community Service Aides. You will gain experience in report writing, information gathering, proper radio etiquette, using mobile data computers, a better understanding of the criminal justice system, and a general view of what police officers deal with on a day-to-day basis. Requirements include being at least 18 years of age, possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license, being a high school graduate, currently enrolled in a post high school educational program with emphasis given to those enrolled in a Criminal Justice Program, having no felony convictions, submitting to a drug screen prior to employment and agreeing to random drug screening, and successfully completing all department training sessions.
Your role will involve miscellaneous duties where a sworn police officer is not needed, including parking enforcement, vehicle lockouts, traffic control, paper service, found property, enforcing animal and parking ordinances, vacant home checks.
Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. The job will be split between Community Service hours and Parking Enforcement shifts. We work around your school schedule and provide training, uniforms, and equipment.

The City of Neenah participates in a Social Security Alternative Plan known as Mid-America. This program diverts state taxes into a retirement fund for investment planning. All employees who do not qualify for WRS benefits are required to participate in this program as a condition of employment. No additional benefits are available.
