Caregiver Training

Our Foundations of Care training program is a 3 week program with paid hands on training with our Staff Development Mentor to learn all required care tasks and culture to be a caregiver for our facility. Upon completion of Foundations of Care, you will continue employment with Valley VNA as a part time or full time Resident Assistant in our Assisted Living Facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including hands on personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and family members to ensure the best care for each resident.
  • Document resident care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Able to lift at least 40lbs and provide hands on personal cares.
