Network Architect

Job Description

You will play a leadership role in designing, deploying, and governing a modern, secure, and scalable enterprise network. The role requires deep technical expertise in SD‑WAN, core routing, network security, cloud integration, automation, and strategy.

• SD‑WAN & Overlay Architecture:
  Mastery of Cisco SD‑WAN (Viptela) components – vManage, vSmart, vBond, OMP, TLOC, BFD. Design multi‑region fabrics and planning for scalability.
• Routing & Core Networking:
  Expert knowledge of BGP (including EVPN), EIGRP, OSPF, IS‑IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, and advanced traffic engineering.
• Network Security & Segmentation:
  Zero Trust Architecture, IPsec, Secure Access (ZTNA), micro‑segmentation, Palo Alto firewall (policy, NAT, VPN, Panorama), and Zscaler integration.
• Cloud & Data Center Networking:
  Hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), VPC/VNet design, multi‑cloud connectivity, DC fabric (VXLAN EVPN, ACI).
• Infrastructure & Platforms:
  Enterprise‑grade hardware (Cisco ISR/ASR, Catalyst 9000/8000V, Nexus), virtualization, Cisco wireless, OOB management tools (Opengear), F5 load balancers, monitoring (Thousand Eyes, ISE, Catalyst Center).
• Automation & Programmability:
  Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines for network deployments.
• Strategy & Governance:
  Enterprise network strategy, cost optimization, vendor management, compliance, and architectural governance.

• Architecture & Strategy:
  Define enterprise network architecture aligned with business goals. Design scalable, secure solutions across WAN, LAN, DC, and cloud with HLD/LLD.
• SD‑WAN & WAN Operations:
  Manage legacy WAN (MPLS/DMVPN) and Cisco SD‑WAN environments. Ensure stable multi‑region connectivity and optimize traffic performance using application‑aware routing.
• Cloud & Data Center Integration:
  Architect hybrid and multi‑cloud connectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Implement modern data center fabrics ensuring seamless integration.
• Security Architecture:
  Implement Zero Trust principles with strong segmentation, encryption, and firewall policies. Design and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Zscaler integration.
• Monitoring, Tools & OOB Management:
  Utilize Cisco Catalyst Center, Thousand Eyes, Cisco ISE, Opengear for network visibility, proactive monitoring, and high availability.
• Automation & Innovation:
  Drive automation using Python, Ansible, infrastructure‑as‑code tools. Build CI/CD pipelines and promote intent‑based, self‑healing networks.
• Governance & Leadership:
  Establish standards, conduct design reviews, ensure compliance, mentor teams, and act as a technical SME for key initiatives.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization:
  Lead resolution of complex network issues using deep analysis techniques. Optimize performance and cost through continuous monitoring and tuning.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 per year
