Talent Cast HR has been engaged to search for a Business Unit Manager, Materials and Warehouse for a growing manufacturer of engineered attachments for leading OEMs. The role is on‑site and is commutable from much of northeast Wisconsin (Appleton/Sheboygan/Manitowoc/Green Bay/Fond du Lac). The person will oversee all materials movement, logistics, and warehouse operations. You’ll lead a high‑performing team and shape how materials flow through world‑class manufacturing operations.
Aboutthe Role
This is a high‑impact leadership position responsible for the full materials and warehouse value stream — from inbound logistics and inventory control to shipping and ERP data integrity. As a key member of the operations leadership team, you’ll drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the company's ambitious growth plans.
Responsibilities- Lead, develop, and coach materials, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Own end‑to‑end materials flow — from receiving to production delivery and outbound shipments.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and transactional discipline within ERP.
- Implement Lean / 6S and Kaizen initiatives that improve space use, workflow, and labor efficiency.
- Champion a safety‑first culture through proactive audits, root‑cause investigation, and training.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure seamless operations.
- Track and improve KPIs — accuracy, delivery performance, warehouse efficiency, and team development.
- Significant leadership experience in materials, warehouse, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on ERP experience and strong understanding of inventory and planning controls.
- Proven record of implementing Lean / 6S methods and driving measurable improvements.
- Safety, quality, and people‑leadership mindset.
- Excellent communicator and team builder who thrives in a collaborative, hands‑on role.
