About the JobFabrication & Machine Operator
Direct Start is seeking an experienced Fabrication & Machine Operator to join our team in Neenah, Wisconsin on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will operate and maintain precision fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications, contributing to our manufacturing operations in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate various fabrication and cutting equipment including band saws, circular saws, table saws, and other shop machinery to process materials to precise dimensions
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine specifications and operating parameters
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate cuts and consistent quality standards
- Monitor equipment operation and material feed to maintain efficiency, precision, and safety
- Inspect materials and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in fabrication, machine operation, or manufacturing production
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Strong precision and attention to detail; proficiency with measuring tools and quality control
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and safe operation procedures
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
