Outlook Group is seeking a dedicated Pouch Operator to be part of our Flexible Packaging team on 3rd shift! This role ensures efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety procedures while meeting production schedules.
With almost 50 years’ experience in custom product packaging, direct marketing, and printing, Outlook Group Packaging & Printing Solutions understands clients’ needs and how to support their supply chains. OG serves customers in the food and beverage, private label, personal care, consumer healthcare packaging, consumer products, and contract packaging markets with innovative packaging solutions including labels, shrink sleeves, folding cartons, flexible packaging, fulfillment, and contract packaging solutions.
Shift- Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am
- Set up, operate, and monitor Totani pouching machine to produce a variety of pouch styles (e.g., stand-up, flat, zipper).
- Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules to ensure accurate setup and output.
- Adjust machine settings, tensions, temperatures, and sealing parameters to optimize performance and quality.
- Conduct in-process quality checks, including seal integrity, dimensions, and visual appearance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor mechanical adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers between jobs.
- Accurately document production data, waste, downtime, and quality results.
- Work closely with material handlers, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
- Previous experience operating a pouching machine is a must
- Previous experience operating a laminator or slitter machine is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and mathematical skills
- Ability to be flexible and willing to learn
