Salary Range
$43,100.00 - $64,700.00
Purpose StatementResponsible for supervising and managing activities directly related to the daily business needs. The activities of concentration will include, but are not limited to the following areas: direction and leadership, daily production workload, quality, cross training, skill development and time‑off approvals/hours worked. This position is under limited supervision and requires moderate discretion and independent judgment in developing, analyzing and delivering simple to complex information.
Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of two or more employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. Completes performance appraisal recommendations and recommends job classifications.
- Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensuring quality products are produced and department metrics are achieved.
- Conduct people‑leader activities, including approving time off, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, disciplinary action and maintaining company policies and procedures.
- Communicate written and oral daily schedules, goals, quality issues or concerns to employees, other shifts, and support staff, including supervisors and managers, to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Ensure individuals are trained to the appropriate assembly build instructions and are compliant with all applicable training requirements. Intelligently flex those you oversee to meet customer schedules based on training and skill sets.
- Support and lead improvement initiatives and participate actively to improve the work environment, including safety, cleanliness, product quality and efficiency. Generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Minimum of a high school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of related experience required; two (2) or more years of related experience preferred.
- Basic decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic supervision and team‑building skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Basic data analysis and presentation skills.
- General office equipment and materials proficiency.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to frequently reach at waist and occasionally above head.
- Ability to carry up to 4.5kg (15lbs) and lift up to 20.4kg (45lbs).
- Ability to use fine motor skills and occasional use of hand tools.
- Ability to frequently push, pull, bend, kneel, and/or stoop.
- Ability to meet visual acuity requirements defined by industry certifications and customer specifications.
