Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. The role is accountable for delivering compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and Theda Care policy. Through collaborative practice with members of the care team the nurse is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by Theda Care.

The position fosters the professional practice of nursing at Theda Care by promoting a culture of innovation and a commitment to growth and professional development.

Full Time, 36 hrs/week, Nights 5:30pm–6:00am, every third weekend, Holiday rotation. Benefit eligible.

• Utilize the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and specific competencies to assess the physical condition and nursing needs of patients.
• Develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient and interprofessional team.
• Provide highest quality care and clinical outcomes in the assigned specialty.
• Identify ways to improve patient experience, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality.
• Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development.
• Provide consultation and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other team members to solve problems and improve patient care.
• Anticipate and proactively manage risk to prevent crises.
• Perform skillfully in life‑threatening emergencies, matching demands and resources during crisis situations.

• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
