The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Neenah, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level III, 22-bed NICU unit during night shifts. The position offers a dynamic environment where nursing expertise is vital to delivering high-quality care and ensuring positive patient outcomes.
Job Details- Schedule:
Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
Wisconsin or compact RN license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 3 years of experience, NICU experience required, and Pediatric (PEDS) experience preferred. - Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. - Shift Requirements:
Variable 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. - Float Requirements:
Floating to pediatric unit required as census dictates. - Weekend/Holiday Rotation:
Every third weekend, with some additional Fridays and holiday scheduling outside of requested time off. - On Call/Call-Back:
None, but extra shifts may involve call or cancellation. - Additional Information:
The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity. The NICU is a Level III, 22-bed unit. Charting is completed through EPIC. Candidates must be resilient, adaptable to change, and capable of managing a busy clinical environment. Scrubs may be any professional style. A small nose piercing is permitted; other visible body piercings are not acceptable.
Flu vaccination is mandatory; COVID vaccination is no longer required. - Interview Days:
