The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for the daily execution of all food safety and quality processes ensuring they meet company, customer, industry quality certification, and regulatory requirements. This position is also accountable for managing the lab team and day‑to‑day activities within the quality function to ensure product quality and food safety. Hours are 5:45 pm–6:00 am on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.
Responsibilities- Engagement & Involvement – Ownership of communication within the quality area and across functions. Operates as a contact and reliable resource for employee and team needs, with timely and meaningful follow‑up to all questions, concerns & ideas, and being very visible and approachable in the eyes of the employees. Engages employees through regular team meetings, process improvement discussions, follow‑up on suggestions, and regular communication.
Models a positive, resilient, and results‑oriented approach and ensures employees know their opinions count. - Performance Management – Ensures clear expectations. Responsible for effective formal and informal employee coaching, performance management and development. Provides recognition and praise to encourage positive work behaviors and focus. Utilizes performance metrics to improve efficiency. Continually assesses team effectiveness needs and seeks resources to assist in team development. Reviews product on hold daily to determine disposition.
