Responsibilities- Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
- Visually inspect sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools and apply lot sampling methods or 100% inspection.
- Participate as required on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Enter standardized information into the Global Shop Floor (GSF) system or equivalent.
- Supervise work area according to 5S standards and keep supervisors informed, escalating issues when needed.
- A minimum of a middle school certificate is required.
- Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend).
- Six months of related experience in manufacturing is required; one year or more is preferred.
- Intermediate electronic manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced reading, writing and math skills (12th grade level) are required.
- Inspection skills and knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Must complete training for and become certified for Quality Assurance within six months and maintain QA certification to remain in the position.
- Basic PC skills and familiarity with Plexus software packages; comfortable with Google Workspace or MS Windows.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and to handle PCB components, including turning, flipping and angling them.
- Visual acuity requirements for close vision with computer monitors, inspection equipment, and magnifiers.
- General office equipment experience preferred.
- Work in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with required PPE; comfortable temperatures; repetitive tasks; and suitable lighting for required tasks.
- May require physical stamina, strong manual dexterity and fine motor control with precise measurement equipment or delicate tools.
- Role will mainly involve standing and sitting with repetitive computer tasks to create, edit and save quality records.
- Less than 40% travel expected.
