Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer who will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to uphold and enhance quality standards. The successful candidate will assist in process development, support quality investigations, and contribute to comprehensive documentation and resolution efforts. This role involves a broad range of quality activities including design, incoming inspection, production control, and reliability.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support and maintain quality standards.
- Assist in developing processes to uphold quality standards.
- Support investigations related to quality concerns and contribute to documentation and resolution efforts through CAPA, SCAR, and CARB processes.
- Contribute to quality activities across various areas such as design, incoming inspection, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory control, and R&D.
- Evaluate technical data, deviations, and documentation to ensure alignment with quality requirements.
- Provide technical support to production, including participation in quality spills, containment actions, and corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining and improving quality systems, including updating and creating site procedures.
- Participate in internal audits to identify risks and opportunities; support implementation and documentation of corrective actions.
- Contribute to quality initiatives that promote a strong quality culture across teams.
- Maintain a customer‑focused mindset when working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support training and knowledge sharing on quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, SPC, CAPA, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Assist in managing project timelines and priorities, ensuring task completion within defined scope.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations as needed.
- Maintain accurate project and quality documentation for analysis and historical records.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by contributing to updates in quality methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Provide input into budgeting activities, including identifying potential process improvements or equipment needs.
- Communicate progress and updates effectively with team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 3–6 years of related experience in quality engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, SPC, CAPA, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with Power BI.
The position requires flexibility to move between 3-4 facilities located in the Appleton/Greenville area. The work involves a hands‑on approach within a dynamic manufacturing environment, focusing on continuous improvement and quality assurance.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 – $55.00/hr.
